Signal Alerts
Signal alerts are standing watches on market structure. A price alert asks "did the price reach my number"; a signal alert asks "did something change in how this pair trades". You set one on a pair and it stays armed around the clock, pinging you each time the thing you watch for happens: on site, by push and in Telegram, like every other Osiris alert.
They live in the same alert dialog as price alerts: press the bell on any chart or screener tile, then switch to Big order for walls (the tab also lists the walls standing in that book right now, tap one to aim the alert at it) or to Signals for funding, volatility and trend. Everything you have standing is listed under Settings → Signal Alerts, together with how often each one has fired.
The four signals
Big order is whale radar: "tell me when a wall of at least $1M appears in this book". The densities scanner watches every perpetual book on every venue; when a resting order of your size parks within 10% of the price, on the side you chose, you get a ping with its size, level and distance. Two things keep it honest: the wall must survive for about half a minute before it counts (spoofed flash orders never fire it), and one alert pings at most once per 10 minutes however busy the book gets.
Funding watches who pays whom. Two shapes: a sign flip ("funding turned negative" means shorts started paying longs, crowd positioning flipped) and a level cross ("funding above 0.1%" is a crowded long, "below -0.05%" is a short squeeze brewing). Flips are judged past a small dead-band, so a rate wobbling around zero stays silent.
Volatility fires when the pair leaves its own normal range: the current candle's range or move reaches a multiple you set (2× to 6×) of what has been typical for that pair on that timeframe. Because the trigger is relative to the coin itself, a sleepy majors book and a twitchy small alt are judged fairly by the same alert; there is no absolute threshold to tune per coin.
Trend watches the composite trend score the screener's trend ranking runs on (EMA spread, MACD and RSI, weighted by trend strength and squeeze). Pick the horizon, local for the lower timeframes or global for the higher ones, and the direction: turns bullish, turns bearish, or either. It fires when the score crosses into clearly bullish or bearish territory and re-arms once the pair has cooled back to sideways, so one regime change is one notification.
Standing, not one-shot
Signal alerts never move to a triggered list. Each one is a cross detector: it fires, goes quiet, and re-arms only after the value genuinely retreats (funding back through zero, volatility back under 1.5× normal, trend back to sideways). A condition that already holds when you create the alert does not fire either; the alert waits for the next real cross. Per-signal cooldowns sit on top, so even a chaotic session cannot turn one alert into a drumbeat.
Venues, limits and delivery
Like a price alert, every signal alert is bound to one exchange's data at creation, and the plan's venue rules apply the same way. Premium includes 10 active signal alerts, Trader and Developer 25, shared across the four types. Delivery runs through the notification system under its own Signal alerts category: the bell is always on, push and Telegram are yours to toggle, and quiet hours apply.
Practical patterns
- Guard your position: holding a long overnight? A "$2M+ ask wall appears" alert on the pair tells you when someone big starts capping your upside, and "funding turns positive" tells you when holding starts costing money.
- Squeeze watch: "funding below -0.1%" on a pair with rising price is the classic short-squeeze setup. Set it and forget it; it only speaks when the crowd is offside.
- Volatility as a doorbell: a 3× volatility alert on the handful of pairs you actually trade replaces staring at the screener between sessions. When a pair wakes up, you hear about it inside a minute.
- Trend flips on your home pair: a local trend flip alert on your main market is a session starter: when it turns, come look.
Common questions
What is a signal alert?
A standing watch on one pair's market structure. Four signals: a big resting order parks in the book, the funding rate flips sign or crosses a level, volatility leaves the pair's normal range, or the trend turns bullish or bearish. Unlike a one-shot price alert, a signal alert never retires: it keeps watching and pings each time its condition happens again.
Will a busy market flood me?
No. Every signal fires on a cross, not on a state: it goes quiet after firing and re-arms only once the value has genuinely retreated. On top of that each signal type has its own cooldown, from 10 minutes for big orders to an hour for funding and trend.
How many signal alerts can I have?
Ten active on Premium, 25 on Trader and Developer. The family is part of the paid plans; the four signal types all share one cap.
How is this different from a price alert?
A price alert watches a number you chose in advance. A signal alert watches behavior: you don't know at what price a whale will park $5M of bids, you just want to know the moment it happens. Price alerts answer "did it get there", signal alerts answer "did something change".
How do big-order alerts avoid spoofed walls?
A wall only counts once it has survived in the book for about half a minute. Spoofers flash large orders for a few seconds to paint the tape; those never reach your phone. The $200K detection floor of the densities scanner applies too.
